Amanda Schuermann is a visual artist, designer, and educator who graduated with her BFA in Art Education from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in December 2011 and her MFA from the Dynamic Media Institute at Mass Art in May 2017. Amanda's areas of focus include digital arts, design, photography, video, new media, and interaction/experience design.
In addition to her freelancing, Amanda has been teaching art, design, photography, and film for over seven years and has a background in multi-media installation design. Her goal is to engage young people in meaningful arts learning and give them creative confidence and the 21st Century skills necessary to be successful in college and career. Amanda is the new visual, digital arts teacher at Monomoy Regional High School and plans to incorporate her studies in dynamic media, play, and creative confidence in her professional practice as an educator and designer alike.
Outside of her career, Amanda is an avid sailor and skier and enjoys traveling, fitness, and spending time with her friends and family on Cape Cod.
